January reset
two simple cozy looks to hibernate in until spring
I can’t believe that yet another year is gone by and I’m stepping into 2025, and although it doesn’t feel as groundbreaking as celebrating 2000s back then (I was a teenager), it is a whole quarter into another century and I want to make it count. January has always been a quiet month and the test time for New Years resolutions for many. Except I didn’t come up with anything this year, only with to do more of everything that I’m already doing, and take a better care of myself. Do more of the things that nourish my body, mind and soul; more regular pilates classes, read more, write more, and most importantly be present in my life more. I’ve seen the phrase somewhere that the biggest gift you can give to yourself is discipline, and it includes time for self-care.
Since the rest of winter, after Christmas, always feels a bit like a drag, I’m leaning towards lounging and comfort looks, mainly cotton, silk and wool coded, good reads, and lots of skincare (for the time I have outside the office). Like many, I prefer to spend my evenings at home during the winter, so the looks which easily transform from outdoors to cozy indoors are right at the top of my list.
Look 1
This look feels very much skiing inspired adaptation to city life. My absolute favourite right now. I wore this base (black tights and turtleneck) with most of my coats already. Very easy to put together and I’m pretty sure that majority of us have a good pair of leggings since covid days, but if you don’t, these from toteme stood a test of time and I stand by them. The base works like a charm at home too, comfy and functional, just add your favourite necklace for chic finish, oh and these Charvet slippers (waiting for my size to be back in stock!).

Here are some more options for turtlenecks at a different price points (left to right): The Frankie Shop (found only few remaining in stock, I have it and love how light the material is); Leset (yet to get myself a piece from them, but heard their quality is very good); Cos (it is slightly sheer, but amazing for layering); Theory (very reliable place to shop for wardrobe basics); Arket (been wearing this turtleneck for two years now).
And few coats I would love to wear with this base; by malina coat, almost sold out and I can see why; this shearling perfection from Nour Hammour; also toteme shearling has been haunting my dreams forever.

Look 2
Pyjamas under a big coat is one of those wonder looks I always wanted to owe and wear. I found these perfect silk pjs from House of Dahmar which are geared towards going out looks. I can see this look to be perfect for a quick lunch and coffee runs, but equally to cozy up at home with a book.

When it comes to pjs inspired look I’ve been living in this combo from Almada all Christmas, accessorising it with necklace from Agmes or statement Nina Gordon earrings (depending on the mood). Trousers linked here and the softest cashmere knit here.

Apart from dressing cozy, baths are high on my list of things to do until spring. So, just before I go for my strictly scheduled bed time, here’s a few things I found most useful to keep my skin well hydrated (don't know about you, but my skin absolutely hates winter). Olverum bath oil; Necessaire Body Wash and Lotion; Sonsie hydration mask, which I use instead of moisturiser for extra hydration, it’s a good one.
If you’re back to work today after the holidays, hope you’re having a good start and being kind to yourself! Happy New 2025!
