It's Maria McManus morning - NYFW Day 2
"We must revive our sense of belonging to a larger family of life." - Wangari Maathai
Full of hope I packed a lot of fall looks thinking New York weather might be more cooperative with the fall fashion, but it was summer temperatures in a full swing. Nevertheless, my beloved Arwen coat still managed to see a daylight for an early morning Maria Mcmanus show, so not all was lost and I’m sticking with that mindset.

WHAT I’M WEARING
The Row Arwen coat (sold out everywhere, found one in different colour here; I’m wearing size S), covering Toteme skirt I got on sale (if I’d be shopping now, I’d go for this one) and light cotton Leset Margo t-shirt; Dear Frances Sadie mules (half sizes take size up, I’m 39.5 wearing 40); The Row silk bag; Saint Laurent sunglasses.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
In her own words, Maria dedicated her SS26 collection to everyday life, which was created to help us through our days with more integrity, beauty and optimism. I couldn’t disagree, the looks catered for every outing I can think of, be it office run, dinner with friends, date night, I could go on and on.
Not short of thought she collaborated with a number of female led brands. The list of collaborators is impressive: softest denim developed with Agolde, Le Sundial onyx jewellery, sculptural bags by Esha Soni, all equal players to perfect the looks. As a female navigating in male led industry, this truly touched my heart more than anything. It should be more often that we all get together, uplift and support each other!
My favourite looks.
I want to wear this anytime!
The black ensemble topped with a baby pink coat made want to introduce little colour into my own wardrobe. Easy, effortless, uplifted, I so can see myself tackling busy office day in this!
Barn jacket in softest denim, do I need to say more!
Two dresses for date night.
