Dreaming of one more summer break
And what I would be buying from designer summer sales if I could go!
London summer, although late, has finally picked up. But now, all I can think of is one more trip to Italian coast (quick, easy and chic). Especially that all the summer sales are re-surfacing in my mailbox and temptation to make that dream purchase is building up. And even though I know that it’s out of the question for me this year, I still did a window shopping (in between my fall/winter research) for summer sales and picked out the items I would buy to take with me.
I would start straight away with this dress from SIR, I can imagine wearing it to after beach dinner and then back in the city layered under the leather blazer. And since I normally bring few options, when it comes to the dresses, I would consider this Christopher Esber strapless dress (someone size m will get very lucky) or this Jacquemus dress in butter yellow. I would dress it down with a simple pair of sandals like these from Staud, or tiny kitten heel sandals from Aeyde (these are not on sale, but so good, could not not to share).
Also linking my Anna Quan dress that I’ve bought on sale this summer, to attend wedding in Italy. I would love to repeat-wear it somewhere beachy and sunny. Exact same one is sold out, the last time I looked, but it is a good option if you are looking for comfortable strapless dress. It has a built in corset which ensures it doesn’t slip and can support the weight of all the material it comes with. Anna Quan makes them in different colours, not on sale for now, but you can get a first time purchase discount if you’ve never shopped with this brand before. Love it in magnolia and ivory colours too.
For the beach days I would opt in for white Eres bikini hands down (even better, because it’s on sale!), top and bottoms linked here and here. I have same one in black colour already (which I purchased full price couple years back, still going strong) and it is one of the most comfortable bikinis I’ve ever had. It is designed to provide a good support and enough coverage, but also is very classic and easy to pair with sheer and crochet clothing and works as a perfect base. I wore it with the cotton shirt from The Garment a lot when visiting Calabria. And I found this crochet skirt which I would buy if I would be going to Italy again.

I have soft spot for Christopher Esber when shopping for summer holidays and their sale would be one of my must stops. I bought this skirt mid-summer full price, love how versatile it is. Wore it with button down in the city as well. This jersey skirt and crochet dress would land in my imaginary basket too.
Lastly, I would be tempted to buy these jelly ballerinas, even though they are not on sale. Love the perfect balance between practicality and style. Especially, because they can be worn in the water, which is very handy for European beaches, as they tend to be a bit pebbly.
And as I’m wrapping up my online window shopping for now, I realise that I will spend the rest of my evening debating with myself that jelly ballerinas will look absolutely stunning in the city too!
