I was thinking of comebacks as I approached Copenhagen, I skipped a few of the last seasons, the feeling of good anxiety was there, and still too much of it. But I quickly rerouted, the balance is important for growth. Catching a break isn’t a sign of failure or defeat, it’s coming back stronger and aligned with yourself, if only you can give yourself a chance. Later, By Malene Birger comeback to the runway, in the most meaningful way, cemented it. It’s all good, I exhaled.

Rhea press brunch - knitwear basics knitted to shape rather than cut and sewn, which is the expensive way, at deliberately attainable prices. Must know, must tell.

Skall Studio runway show - aside from the clothes, always from most perfect cotton, that makes me want to spend next summer in the English (or Danish) countryside, or just pretend I’m doing so in London, they teased us with the variety of vintage woven baskets. I do hope they will make at least one commercial version, it would be IT.

Freya Dalsjø re-see at Etage Projects — unable to tear my eyes away from the architectural woven dresses, I missed the rest of the collection, but on second look I’d go to Freya for everyday shirting, minimal but not boring. Made to order only, at the moment.

Kinraden showroom presentation - The Bricks collection pulls you in. Queensland Sapphires delicately assembled in 18ct gold, dainty ring stacking possibilities are endless.
By Malene Birger runway show — its first Copenhagen show after a six-year pause, at golden hour on creative director Emilie Martinsen-Kønigsfeld’s family estate just outside the city. A sweet homecoming. Mona Tougaard closing the show — goosebumps! As always great functional, elevated and wearable clothes, but this time a lot more floaty silhouettes dramatically catching the summer breeze, and a wink to the 90s Kate Moss naked dress.

Around the city

Lunch at Esmée — excellent lobster pasta and light Fino Daiquiri aperitif.

Dinner at Delphine — there were six of us, the spread was gone before I even snapped a picture.

Magasin — that’s where all Danish brands live under one roof.
